Since portable Bluetooth speakers come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and prices, it’s impossible to tell which model is best for everyone.
However, we hope that the UE Wonderboom 2 has the best chance of satisfying your ears without causing irritation to your eyes.
These speakers have a compact design and a full, clear tone. It is both waterproof and dustproof, as well as being designed for the most adventurous vacations.
Wonderboom 2
Yui Wonderboom 2 is as clever as Ariana Grande but as difficult as Laura Croft.
In the ophthalmic tests, our panelists selected this Bluetooth speaker as the best sound model for its price, especially the bass with a good amount of pronounced voice reproduction and its size.
It has an IP67 rating and is one of the toughest Bluetooth speakers we have ever tested, with a 5-foot drop and the ability to dive into 1 meter of water – but as it floats, it never gets deeper.
The only downside to the Wonderboom 2 is its battery life, which is enough in eight hours but not impressive.
We love the Wonderboom’s beautiful, compact design, the almost spherical shape makes it a little tricky to pack this model in a suitcase pocket or laptop bag.
JBL Extreme 2
The JBL Xtreme 2 is a great option if you want a portable Bluetooth speaker that sounds like a sweet little stereo device and can be used almost anywhere.
Three of our four listeners thought the Extreme 2 was the best-sounding speaker we had ever tested, appreciating its adequate bass, high maximum volume, and overall clear, clean sound.
It has a cast, hard-built mold and is IPX 7-rated, which means it can be submerged in 1 meter of water.
The Xtreme 2 had a battery life of 19 hours. However, it is significantly larger and more expensive than the UE Wonderboom 2.
Sony SRS-XB32
If you want something a little louder and more complete than the UE Wonderboom 2, it’s more portable and inexpensive, but the Sony SRS-XB32 finds a good middle ground compared to the JBL Xtreme 2.
It’s twice the size of Wonderboom 2, has a little more volume, and a lot more bass.
In our battery test, it immediately lowers the volume after six hours of intensive use, but it is still playable for another five hours.
It also has adjustable multicolor lights and flashing knives that won’t appeal to us – but these things should be liked or not included by the manufacturers.
Get Tribe XSound
The Tribit Exhaust Go is a great option if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a portable Bluetooth speaker.
Its sound is clearer and louder than almost all other budget Bluetooth speakers.
The Exhaust Go is also compact enough to fit into a laptop bag or pre-filled suitcase, with a single charge lasting up to 10 hours.
Additionally, it is IPX 7-rated, which means it is waterproof enough to live for half an hour in 1 meter of water and has speakerphone performance.
EcoXgear EcoBolder +
Compared to our other images the EcoX Gear EcoBoulder + is a completely different portable Bluetooth speaker – it sends maximum volume for pool parties and picnics.
When it explodes, it also provides relief – not only with its full, natural sound but also with the built-in bottle opener and cupholders.
Weighing in at 29 pounds, the Roll-Riden suitcase-shaped EcoBoulder + is not something you carry on business trips, but its retractable handle and wheels are easily lost.
In our tests, it had a built-in AM / FM radio and a long battery life – 24 hours.
